Being from a sealed land it's hard to obtain information on the outside world. In a sense...Gensokyo isn't even a real part of Japan.

From what I have heard and seen...the world has long passed Gensokyo by. I believe our world is still living hundreds upon hundreds...possibly even thousands...of years in the past compared to what Japan is nowadays.

I am not sure who else calls themselves such things. I have heard it before, however.

I know a Republic is a form of government...and those of you who believe yourselves to be entire countries prefer to use that in your names should it apply.

We use it because that's what our names are.

Like I said. Small island off the coast of America and Mexico. Used to be a Spanish colony before gaining independence. Mostly Spanish and African culture jumbled together now. And Communist.

It's a nice place with good people. But I am biased.
